This year the Clare Conservation District used the National Association of Conservation District’s theme and presented a power point presentation to two of the four schools that participated. On February 2nd we received 262 posters.  89 posters from the Fourth Grade and 173 posters from the Fifth Grade.

The office staff checked for spelling errors, clarity of message and made sure the theme was on the poster.  We then picked the top 24 posters from each grade.  The District Board members then chose the Grand Champion of each grade and then the top four from each school.

All winners were invited to our Annual Breakfast Meeting on March 3rd where they received their awards.  Each winner received a certificate, an award ribbon and a T-shirt.  The Grand Champions also received a $50 Savings Bond.

We also invited their teachers.  These teachers also receive an award.  We appreciated all they do to enrich the minds of their students.
