Echinacea purpurea

This perennial produces vibrant purple blooms all summer and grows up to 4 feet tall with 3 to 4-inch flowers. It is rare in much of its native range. In Fall, goldfinches love to feast on the echinacea seeds. An outstanding US native wildflower for pollinator and habitat gardens. Full sun and well draining

Historically, Native American tribes sought the medicinal properties to treat pain, inflammation, infection, toothaches, colds, and sore throats. It was also used as an antidote for snake bites.
