Rattlesnake Master, (eryngium yuccifolium) is a striking prairie perennial native to Michigan’s dry to mesic openings, rising in bold, architectural clumps of blue‑green, yucca‑like leaves topped in midsummer by globe‑shaped white flower heads that hum with native bees, wasps, and other beneficial insects. Long‑lived and deeply rooted, it thrives in full sun and lean soils, offering exceptional drought tolerance and strong structural presence in restoration plantings, pollinator gardens, and educational landscapes.
