Silver maple (Acer saccharinum)

Also called river maple for its ability to thrive on stream banks. Fast growing with wide, spreading branches. Birds nest in the branches and wildlife eat the seeds and buds. Average height 80 ft (25 m), maximum age of ~150 years. Fall foliage yellow, orange, and red.


Uses: Landscaping, Timber, Shade, Erosion Control
