Timber Tax and Contracts Workshop

Have you ever had a timber harvest on your property? Are you thinking about having one? Consider coming to our upcoming workshop!  

If you are considering enrolling in MAEAP (Michigan Agriculture  Environmental Assurance Program) this is a Phase 1 event. 

What: Susan and Bryce Metcalf from Metcalf Forestry will be presenting about Timber  Taxes and Timber Sale contracts.  Learn how to properly file your timber sale revenue to avoid paying more tax than you should. You will also learn about tax- savings programs and how to negotiate an effective timber sale contract. Other topics include Forestry accounting myths, capital gains of timber purchases, reducing tax liability, and real estate and timber appraisals. 
When: January 4th at 4:30 to 7pm

Where: Harrison City Hall, 2105 Sullivan Drive, Harrison MI 48625

If you don't like trees but do like food there will be a light dinner will be provided so come anyway! RSVP Appreciated but not required.
